Heath Residents Association along with a large number of local residents are keen to see improvements to the playground at Heath Park.
Every child has a right to play. This means that every singe child, whatever their culture, impairment, gender, language, background, behaviour or need has a right to play. Unfortunately the current playground isn't accessible for all children. Being so close to UHW we feel very strongly that accessible play equipment is urgently needed. For example, an accessible roundabout and swing, plus some extra equipment for all ages such as monkey bars, spinning seat and a zip wire.
We are aware funding will be in short supply and for that reason are limiting our ask. We strongly believe this play equipment would be a valuable asset to both local children and those staying at UHW. Plus with the new Broadies coffee shop, these improvements could attract increased visitors to the park.
We are campaigning to seek improvements to the play area to make it accessible for all children, of all ages, regardless of any disabilities. We would be so grateful for your support. Please contact hrasite@gmail.com if you would like to get involved.
